Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing fire alarm systems to the relevant industry standards, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of safety and security for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service fire alarm systems to the relevant industry standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and codes of practice.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and rectify problems before they occur, using your technical expertise and knowledge of fire safety systems.
  • Work safely and responsibly, avoiding injuries, damage to property, and the loss of unused materials.
  • Manage your time efficiently, prioritizing jobs correctly and meeting deadlines.
  • Complete engineer work reports or checklists as appropriate, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience within the fire industry, with knowledge of repair and maintenance of large systems.
  • Expert knowledge of mainstream and top-end fire, gas, and aspiration systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and a logical approach to troubleshooting, together with good computer skills.
  • Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment.
  • A full clean driving license.
  • The ability to lift and climb ladders, and be comfortable working at height.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold current relevant qualifications to the industry, such as 18th edition/NVQ/City and Guilds/BTEC/FIA.
