About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties and social/emotional mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised care and support to young adults, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young adults, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of young adults are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioural difficulties.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or youth work, or be willing to work towards one.
