Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Wiltshire-based Secondary School. As a key member of our curriculum support team, you will play a vital role in providing support to young people across all age ranges and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support specific students through their day-to-day school life
  • Support class teachers in the general delivery of the class
  • Work within the SEN and wider school staffing team
  • Understand various SEND and how to support these in the school environment
  • Strive to make the classroom and school an engaging environment
  • Understand and comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • At least grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Passion for delivering high-quality and exciting opportunities for children and supporting them in their development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with a variety of pupils, staff, and parents
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, and consistent
  • Ability to deal with new challenging situations
  • Strong team player, good at building relationships
  • Confident, resilient, and flexible attitude
  • Organized and enthusiastic
  • Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment (desirable)
