As a Freight Forwarding Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client's air freight and ocean freight services. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing day-to-day freight operations, managing a dedicated team, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire a team of freight professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage freight operations across air and ocean, ensuring timely and accurate execution of shipments
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly
  • Performance Metrics: Track KPIs, analyse performance data and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards
  • Problem Solving: Address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as customs, warehousing, and transport) to optimise end-to-end logistics processes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in freight forwarding, with a proven track record in supervisory roles
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of air freight and ocean freight operations
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving operational excellence
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
