Manufacturing Shift Leader

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Shift Leader to join our team at a leading FMCG food manufacturer in Enfield. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our production lines and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process and ensure that all quality and pre-start checks have been completed before production starts.
- Complete work orders, input OEE data, and develop shift reports for the shift handover.
- Ensure hygiene and GMP standards are maintained throughout the production areas.
- Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards.
- Provide troubleshooting support and escalate issues to the Production Manager.
- Support the Production Manager in managing labour plans, holidays, sickness, and agency requirements.
- Drive performance through short interval control and attend production reviews.
- Support staff development through SOP development, training, team briefs, and feedback.
- Run production lines as part of holiday/absence cover.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and experience of driving efficiency and achieving savings through continuous improvement.
- Food manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
