About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teacher of Computer Science to join our team at Thetford Academy. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students across the 11-16 age range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students across the 11-16 age range
  • Monitor and support overall progress and development of students as a teacher and contribute to raising standards of student attainment
  • Offer active support for the School's Policy and Procedures

Requirements

  • An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS
  • Qualified Teacher Status (trainees should be on track to achieve QTS before taking up the post)
  • Experience of teaching the subject in a secondary school across the 11-16 age range
  • Experience of the wider role of a teacher in the personal development of pupils, including the main responsibilities of a form tutor
  • Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
