We're seeking an experienced bookkeeper to assist our client with their ongoing accounting needs. As a senior accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing expert guidance to clients.

Key Tasks:

  • Ensuring accounts are completed accurately and efficiently from incomplete records to high-quality trial balances, adhering to tight deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Utilizing expertise in double-entry book-keeping to resolve complex book-keeping system issues.
  • Offering advisory services to clients on optimal book-keeping practices and emerging technologies/systems.
  • Collaborating with clients to implement new cloud-based book-keeping systems, highlighting benefits of best practices and new tools available.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Xero, TaxCalc, VT, and Excel, along with a solid grasp of MTD and cloud-based book-keeping solutions.
  • Preparing year-end accounts for various business entities, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Completion of draft Corporation Tax returns, tax/capital allowance computations, and self-assessment tax returns.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients through clear and concise communication in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Maintaining productivity while managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Prior AAT/ACCA qualification or current part-qualification is preferable.
  • Experienced professionals demonstrating equivalent skills and qualifications will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $35,000 pro-rata salary.
