About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our successful and motivated team at McIntyre Compliance Services. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of PPM Servicing and the maintenance of life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, and other associated equipment in accordance with British Standards.
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure replenishment and appropriate stocking.
  • Report on and maintain emergency lighting systems and other associated equipment, such as fire extinguishers and AOVs.
  • Have a Health and Safety mindset, identifying potential risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of self and others.
Requirements
  • A flexible approach to work with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with opportunities to earn significantly more through weekends and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Previous fire alarm experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
