We are seeking an exceptional Geography Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust in Barking. This is an exciting opportunity to teach KS4 and KS5 students and contribute to the overall school environment, shaping the next generation of leaders and thinkers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to diverse student needs, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Develop students' scientific knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities through project-based learning and real-world applications.
  • Create a stimulating, inquiry-based learning environment that fosters curiosity and exploration, encouraging students to ask questions and seek answers.
  • Prepare students for examinations and assessments, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve academic success.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school through collaborative efforts, working closely with colleagues to drive excellence and improve outcomes.

About the Ideal Candidate:
  • Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge of Geography, staying up-to-date with curriculum requirements and best practices.
  • Is passionate about inspiring young minds and has excellent classroom management and communication skills, building strong relationships with students and peers.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, embracing new ideas and strategies to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
  • Able to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student diversity and well-being, promoting social and emotional growth and academic achievement.
