Paediatric Disability Specialist

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering outstanding healthcare services to the population of North Cumbria. As a Paediatric Disability Specialist, you will be part of a centre of excellence in providing rural and remote healthcare.
The role involves working within a Cumbria county-wide team of community paediatricians with close links with colleagues in the NCIC Community Children's Services, Primary Care, and Cumbria County Council Children's Services. The post-holder will provide a community paediatrician service for children and young people in Cumbria, co-located with other Community Children's Services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Disability Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in assessing and managing children with developmental difficulties and disabilities, emotional and behavioural problems, significant vision and hearing problems, and safeguarding concerns.
You will work closely with the community paediatric team to deliver high-quality care to children and young people, including those with complex needs. Your expertise will help us to develop innovative solutions to improve the lives of children and families in North Cumbria.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and management of children with developmental difficulties and disabilities
- Emotional and behavioural problems
- Significant vision and hearing problems
- Safeguarding concerns
You will also be involved in health assessments for children Looked After, being adopted, or assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
