Job Summary:

The London South Bank University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Assistant to support the Dean's office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Dean and other senior academics, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and contributing to the overall success of the school.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work on-campus 4 days per week in busy periods and 3 days per week in slower periods. The role is based around term time and the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean and other senior academics
  • Manage the Dean's diary and schedule appointments
  • Coordinate events and meetings
  • Deal with finance issues and support academics with administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in a similar role supporting senior executives and managers within a large organisation. They will be a self-starter, willing to take initiative and happy to get involved, with the ability to deal with complex situations with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
