Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join our client in Radlett. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining ledgers across multiple entities, preparing and issuing recurring and one-off sales invoices, accurately processing and reconciling credit card receipts, managing supplier invoices and receipts, processing credit card payments and expenses efficiently, allocating bank payments and receipts using the automated bank feed, regularly reconciling bank statements, supporting the credit control process, resolving queries related to sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring the correct use of VAT, nominal and department codes for transactions, completing quarterly VAT returns, and performing finance and administrative duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities
  • Prepare and issue timely sales invoices, taking into account recurring and one-off transactions
  • Accurately reconcile credit card receipts and ensure proper electronic storage of documents
  • Manage supplier invoices and receipts, implementing efficient processes for receipt and storage of documents
  • Process credit card payments and expenses, allocating costs correctly and efficiently
  • Utilize automated bank feeds to allocate bank payments and receipts
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support the credit control process, including issuing statements and follow-up emails
  • Resolve any discrepancies or queries related to sales and purchase ledgers
  • Ensure accurate application of VAT, nominal, and department codes for all transactions
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Perform various finance and administrative tasks as assigned by Senior Management
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping
  • AAT qualified
  • Extensive experience with Sage 50 Accounts is essential
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and willing team member, able to cover for absences and possess a can-do attitude
