About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at HSO. As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a key role in supporting the design and implementation of solutions for our customers, working closely with our customers, project teams, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural definition of solutions that provide business intelligence and reporting landscapes for our customers.
  • Provide architectural modelling and documentation for implemented solutions, ensuring clear communication within project teams and customers.
  • Design and implement data migration paths from legacy systems to D365 Apps.
  • Design and implement master-data store concepts and distribution strategies.
  • Develop and implement proof of concept solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between customer technical teams and internal technical and development teams for queries and issues arising from D365 architecture proposals and builds.
  • Ensure new system architectures provide a solid foundation for solutions being provided.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Architects to ensure proposed data architectures meet customer requirements and take maximum advantage of standard D365 Apps.
  • Produce systems architecture and design documentation to agreed HSO standards.
  • Understand and apply HSO project delivery methodologies to all HSO projects.
  • Participate in data migration between non-production environments and production environments.
  • Represent HSO in a professional and positive manner.
  • Ensure all Microsoft certifications and accreditations required for this role within HSO are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with Microsoft and D365 products through self-learning and external conferences.
  • Promote new or emerging technologies to the HSO Management Team where beneficial.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on ERP systems experience, including Dynamics AX 2012, D365, SAP, Azure architected solutions, and AWS.
  • Experience as a functional or data migration lead, with an understanding of how data elements underpin overall solutions.
  • Experience or good understanding of all D365 Apps, Common Data Service, Power Query, SSIS, Data Warehouse, ETL processes, and technologies.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft tools, including Data Management Framework, OData, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, CDS, CDS Connectors, Data Integrator, Functions, and 3rd party integration tools.
  • Understanding of middleware in orchestration and integration, able to create integration architectures using Azure or 3rd party middleware.
  • Good knowledge of data architecture tools and technologies, able to define and implement performant solutions for peak data volumes in secure and efficient ways.
  • Good understanding of general data compliance regulations, such as GDPR.
  • Good understanding of BI tools and capabilities.
  • Experience in understanding and defining customer business KPIs, ability to define data architecture for BI and AI tools.
  • Good presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Project Management awareness.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of implementation methodologies or ability to demonstrate understanding of ERP system implementation processes.
  • Ability to identify emerging useful technologies, learn independently, and relay knowledge to internal teams.
  • Confidence and ability to become a trusted advisor both internally and to customers.
