As an Inpatient Tobacco Dependency Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting patients to overcome their addiction and achieve better health outcomes. With our unique approach to behavior change, you will have the opportunity to work with adults from diverse backgrounds and ages, providing personalized support and guidance to help them quit smoking for good.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one stop smoking support within a hospital setting, working flexibly to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Provide ongoing support to inpatients, managing a caseload of referrals and ensuring smooth transitions between hospital and community-based care.
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and development of our stop smoking service, including specific project work and Very Brief Advice training for healthcare professionals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • NCSCT Smoking Practitioner registration or willingness to obtain this training will be provided.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including a comprehensive pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
