Potato Science Technician

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Potato Science Technician to support the delivery of field trials at NIAB. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our scientists to provide technical support and expertise in potato agronomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of field trials, including soil assessments and crop evaluations.
• Operate and maintain field and laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new protocols and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in agricultural or environmental sciences, preferably with a focus on potato production.
• A level of proficiency in IT skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving license or access to independent transport.
