Senior HGV Mechanic Position Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior HGV Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and skills in repairing and maintaining heavy goods and municipal vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize vehicle productivity.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and innovations.
  • Mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy goods and municipal vehicles.
  • Qualifications to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
