Correctional Officer

**Role Summary**

We are recruiting for a highly skilled and compassionate Correctional Officer to join our team at the Scottish Prison Service.

As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals in our care. You will work closely with our teams to provide a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive behaviors and encouraging individuals to engage with rehabilitation and reintegration initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Encourage positive behaviors in individuals through a supportive and caring approach
• Contribute to the prevention and constructive management of challenging behaviors
• Manage individuals' case work and exercise professional judgment in responding to particular needs and challenges
• Completion of administration and communications relevant to the role
• Contributing to effective operational risk management and ensuring the safe and secure supervision of those in our care
