Job Title: Sustainability Expert

At Mactech Energy Group, we are seeking an experienced Sustainability Expert to play a critical role in the success of our Hinkley Point C project. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a strong background in environmental management and sustainability.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who can promote sustainable practices across our operations and supply chain. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to environmental excellence by highlighting best practices and implementing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive environmental culture throughout projects, legal entities, and the supply chain
  • Contribute to environmental commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices
  • Implement and utilise environmental policies and procedures across all project work scopes
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure mandatory compliance requirements and performance
  • Conduct regular site performance inspections and audits
  • Prepare and deliver environmental performance reports and KPIs
  • Manage environmental incident response, reporting, and investigation

Requirements:

  • Environmental HND/Degree approved by IOSH in a relevant environmental subject
  • IOSH Qualification
  • Proven experience in environmental management within large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in environmental management systems and reporting tools

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 per annum, accommodation provided, and 37 hours per week, permanent, full-time. Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.
