Our team works on diverse projects, such as Coire Glas in Scotland, Koysha in Ethiopia, and Dinorwig in Wales, as well as supporting our growing transmission and distribution business.
You will play a key role in all aspects of hydropower projects, from feasibility studies and concept design to construction and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include leading the electrical engineering design of hydropower projects, including generators, control and instrumentation systems, protection, substations, and transmission lines. You will perform design, modeling, and analysis of electrical and electronic systems to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
As a Principal, you will take line management responsibility for some team members, support business growth and strategy development, and own project deliverables. We work closely with the growing transmission and distribution business, providing opportunities to engage in significant grid upgrade projects, including new transmission lines and substations.
You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated project designs. You will be experienced in producing and interpreting design drawings and documents, including single-line diagrams, key-line diagrams, block cable diagrams, calculations, load schedules, specifications, and reports. Most importantly, you will embody and support our values of client focus, designing with community in mind, collaboration, and service excellence.
