About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud infrastructure management and improve efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging tools to ensure transparency and actionable insights into system performance and health.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, architecture, and service management, to ensure seamless integration and communication.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and contribute to the development of technical roadmaps and strategies.
Requirements
  • Cloud Expertise: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • DevOps and SRE: Significant experience in DevOps and SRE implementation, with a strong understanding of automation, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Observability and Logging: Expertise in observability principles and practices, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems.
