About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Wafer Fab Specialist to join our team at Lumentum Operations LLC. As a Continental Shift Engineer, you will provide technical support for manufacturing and process engineering groups within the Wafer Fab at our Caswell site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support for equipment issues on the Continental shift pattern.
  2. Conduct repair and maintenance of specialist semiconductor processing equipment.
  3. Ensure effective control of chemicals, gases, and spare parts, as well as waste management.
  4. Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximize equipment utilization.
  5. Collaborate with teams to deliver key improvement projects and ensure timely completion.
  6. Represent the group at production, planning, and scrap meetings.
  7. Fork-lift truck driving may be required, with training provided.

Requirements:

  • An apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, and/or 5 years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures without close supervision.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office skills.

Compensation:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
