As a specialist in supporting students with Severe Learning Difficulties or Autistic Spectrum Disorders, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their goals and develop essential life skills.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalized support to students in Key Stage 2, focusing on developing their social, emotional, and academic abilities. This will involve using a range of strategies and techniques to promote student engagement and motivation, as well as providing support with everyday tasks, such as feeding and changing.

You will be responsible for contributing to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to thrive, while also communicating effectively with parents and carers to share student progress and outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 1 year's experience working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties or Autism
  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques to support students with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and training.
