About the Position:

The school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of PE to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level PE lessons, as well as working closely with students to enhance their teamwork and social skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE, and be able to differentiate accordingly for students with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities:

The Teacher of PE will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing engaging Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level PE lessons.
  • Working with students to enhance their teamwork and social skills.
  • Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities.
  • Evaluating students' progress and performance in physical education through various assessment methods.
  • Working closely with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' overall development and well-being.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant PE degree.
  • Experience in planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE.
  • Relevant teaching experience within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
  • The ability to differentiate accordingly for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • A 10-year career history with relevant reference details, including the 2 most recent employers.
  • A Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
