Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer to join our Strategy, Policy and Evidence team. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in influencing work that ensures legislative and policy frameworks in England and the UK are fit for purpose in preventing the abuse and neglect of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive our policy work on children's social care and child protection.
  • Deliver public affairs and parliamentary strategies aimed at strengthening the child protection and children's social care systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, parliamentarians, and other influencers.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote our work and influence policy decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy development and public affairs.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges facing children and families in England.
