About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Operations Manager to join our team in Operations at National Highways. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the on-site delivery of construction projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction phase of the delivery of complex portfolios of interrelated allocated projects within the Region's rolling 5-year capital programme.
  • Represent the interests of National Highways on construction/maintenance sites, ensuring contractors maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Proactively identify and implement continuous improvements on-site to eliminate, reduce, or provide greater control for risks arising during the construction phase of a project.
  • Assure supplier performance and completion of planned works to agreed standards.
About You
  • You will have proven highway/structures and maintenance/construction experience, with experience of working on high-speed Trunk Road/Motorway Networks.
  • Good understanding of DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8, and CDM Regulations.
  • CSCS Card Holder, SSSTS or SMSTS Certificate is essential.
  • Able to execute tasks independently yet work collaboratively within a team and respond to management guidance & support.
What We Offer

National Highways offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
