Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Transitional/Assistant/Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new £6.5M research programme in "Somabotics: Creatively Embodying Artificial Intelligence", funded by UKRI and led by Professor Steve Benford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake research in a multidisciplinary team, leading projects and publishing high-quality research papers.
  • Develop and mentor junior researchers to develop their own research proposals.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching through a variety of methods to support the School's teaching requirements.
  • Contribute to the School's research and knowledge exchange activities.
Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Excellent research and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and mentor junior researchers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
