Position Overview:

A dynamic and supportive role is available at Academics in Windsor, working closely with children who require additional support. This position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to provide high-quality education and care.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have the skills to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. As a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

You will be an integral part of the school community, contributing to the development of individualised learning plans and supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing emotional and academic support to students with SEN
  2. Assisting with lesson planning and implementation
  3. Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour
  4. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
