About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Support Operative to join our team at Gousto's Warrington fulfillment centre. As an Engineering Support Operative, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining machinery to ensure the efficient running of production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run production machinery, respond to stoppage calls from the control room, and complete planned OAC maintenance tasks.
  • Undergo specific training to safely complete duties, including working while line operatives are on breaks and taking breaks at different times.
  • Demonstrate ability to do maintenance strip down, identify defects, and replace parts.
  • Proactive maintenance of machinery, replacement of belts and bands, and fix any issues that might occur during the shift.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Ability to show others machine operations, safety, and maintenance competencies and outline common issues.
  • Delivery of planned maintenance SOPs as per the site PPM schedule.

Requirements

  • Previous experience gained within a similar role, preferably in FMCG environment.
  • Mechanically minded with working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • A confident and forward-thinking team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving.
  • Ambitious and looking to progress in a fast-paced environment.
