About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security and Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Open GI Ltd. in Worcester. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer requests for information and performing due diligence on our partners and suppliers.
  • Creating and maintaining a pool of knowledge for use in due diligence requests and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Performing assessments of control measures for cyber, data protection, business continuity, and other controls.
  • Maintaining a schedule of policy reviews and updates, including regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Registering sub-processors or material sub-contractors processing data on behalf of Open GI and ensuring necessary notices are up to date.
  • Developing and maintaining our record of processing activities (ROPA) in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with the management and reporting of security or data protection incidents.
  • Initiating and progressing data protection impact assessments (DPIA's) for all group companies where risks are present.
  • Assisting with planning and testing of business continuity or disaster recovery plans.
  • Performing scheduled group-wide department-independent assessments to determine current cyber and data protection control alignment.
  • Maintaining a schedule of external penetration tests and internal vulnerability tests.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Formal qualifications such as a relevant degree or ISTQB Foundation certification.
  • Agile qualifications and Microsoft Azure accreditation are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior QA Management role, with strong test automation application experience.
  • Excellent experience in Non-functional testing techniques, working directly with development teams, and managing dedicated offshore teams.
  • Experience working in Financial and insurance industries, with a broad understanding of QA tools and industry best practices.
