Job Description:

We are seeking skilled Train Painters to join our team at SMarter Recruitment. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in painting trains and an understanding of various techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray equipment.
- Mix paints and other materials according to specifications.
- Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organised during the painting process.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform basic maths to calculate quantities of materials needed for each job.
- Assemble and fabricate components as required for specific projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the painting process.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in painting trains is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools required.
