The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrafast spectroscopy and experience in multidimensional spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, or microscopy. Additionally, expertise in electrical engineering or the photophysics of optoelectronic materials and devices will be considered a valuable asset.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, including a sector-leading remuneration package with 39 days off a year and generous pension schemes. You will also gain access to Imperial's state-of-the-art laser and device fabrication facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel spectroscopic techniques that integrate ultrafast vibrational and electronic spectroscopy.
  • Lead the development of new spectroscopic methods, combining electron-vibrational spectroscopy with innovative concepts from multidimensional spectroscopy, microscopy, and scanning tunneling probe techniques.
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate students, build and maintain external collaborations, and advance related spectroscopic research projects.
