Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Latcom Plc. As a key member of our ecological team, you will be responsible for managing UK habitat classification surveys and protected species surveys, developing complex fee quotations, and producing technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate habitat classification surveys and protected species surveys in the UK
  • Develop and present complex fee quotations and tenders
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, including PEA, BNG, protected species, habitat management plans, BREEAM, HRA, and EcIA reports
  • Manage medium- to large-scale projects, ensuring timely completion and financial progress
  • Lead and mentor junior ecologists, providing guidance and support
  • Solve complex legal and logistical puzzles
Requirements:
  • Hold at least one protected species licence
  • Relevant bachelor's degree (or higher) in ecology or a related field
  • Full membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM)
  • Accreditation in Personal Track Safety (PTS) is advantageous
