About the Role

The School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London is seeking a dedicated researcher to contribute to a groundbreaking project exploring coastal resilience in the Anthropocene era. This interdisciplinary initiative, known as 'Resilience of Anthropocene Coasts and Communities (RACC)', aims to understand and address the multifaceted risks facing urban and post-industrial coastal regions.

As part of a larger research program, you will delve into the complexities of climate change impacts, including coastal flooding and erosion. Your work will also encompass the UK's historical waste legacy and its implications for coastal communities and ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local communities and policymakers to identify effective strategies for building resilience against coastal hazards.
  • Lead public engagement activities, fostering dialogue and understanding among stakeholders.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to inform research findings and policy recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of impactful project outputs, such as publications, policy briefs, and community exhibitions.

About You
