Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Controller to contribute to the success of our site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The successful candidate will ensure efficient schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads, liaise with warehouse operatives, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers to maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage the outbound schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.
  • Communicate issues to Shift Manager in a timely manner to minimize disruption to the schedule.
  • Participate as an active member of the operations team, offering suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer, and quality focus.
  • Maintain good communication with transport providers to ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.
  • Produce a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues, reminders, and current state of play.
  • Be PC literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns to cover for absence.
  • Have strong interpersonal and conciliation skills, with the capacity to network with suppliers, hauliers, and customers.
