Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Technician to join our R&D department at ASSA ABLOY, Traka.
About the Role
As a Senior Electronics Technician, you will provide advanced technical and quality support for our products across electronics, mechanical, and firmware – down to component and code level.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise support requests escalated to the Hardware Team
- Provide support interface between R&D and the rest of the business to assist with Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical and Firmware related issues
- Fault-find to root cause / component level faulty parts and products
- Build, rework and repair Printed Circuit Assemblies including surface-mounted components
- Devise tests and experiments to test prototypes and troubleshoot engineering and maintain our engineering lab including supporting equipment calibration schedules
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- HNC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Ability to use Electronic Test Equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Multi-meters
- Ability to read and interpret Schematic Diagrams and PCB layouts
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings as well as ability to use measurement and inspection equipment
- Hands-on engineering skills (soldering, wiring, mechanical)
