Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a £100m new build vaccine research centre in Oxford.

  • Take sole responsibility for a project or section of a project.
  • Perform all Senior Quantity Surveying duties, including:
  • Preparing and managing interim applications for payment and agreeing certifications.
  • Drafting and preparing claims.
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts.
  • Negotiating with client representatives, sub-contractors, and other consultants to achieve project results while maintaining group relationships.
  • Advising project management on contractual implications of intended courses of action.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks within the project or projects.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts information.
  • Providing contractual and commercial input into Project Business Plans, as required.
  • Assisting with the establishment of the project 'budget to build' from the Contract award.
  • Ensuring contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement.
  • Keeping your manager fully informed of any issues or risks that have arisen or may arise and could affect the business/project.
