Reliability Maintenance Role

Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is crucial to our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our equipment. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
  2. Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  3. Utilize the latest tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and optimize performance.
  4. Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  5. Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
  6. Contribute to continuous improvement projects, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices across multiple EU sites.

A Day in the Life:

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will work on-site, responding quickly to machinery issues and performing a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our equipment is working safely and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to suggest long-term improvements and work collaboratively with senior colleagues to achieve our goals.

About the Team:

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is dedicated to maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our equipment, working together to troubleshoot and repair issues across our global network of fulfillment centers. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general maintenance and repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles a wide range of technical tasks to support Amazon's operations.

Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
  2. Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  3. Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in condition-based monitoring and fault-finding.
  2. Experience working with print and apply machines, conveyor systems, and automation equipment.
