About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Inverness on a part-time basis, working approximately 20-24 hours per week. The role will initially be office-based with the option for hybrid working thereafter.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring timely recording of all financial transactions. Proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Process payroll and manage employee expenses.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £25,000 - £28,000 pro rata, based on experience.
  • A part-time schedule of approximately 20-24 hours per week, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
