About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' Ofsted-rated school in North London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, assisting with their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment, promoting independence, confidence, and social skills.
  • Work with colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Monitor and record student progress, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
