About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Royal Golf Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus that showcase the rich flavors and heritage of the Highland region.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests.
  • Manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional standards of service and quality.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to menu development and implementation, working closely with the Head Chef and other members of the culinary team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong culinary skills, with a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • A genuine passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential.
