We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs and providing a tailored education that meets their individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a specifically designed curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
  • Provide individualized support to students with communication and interaction difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and other challenges affecting their learning and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to adapt to the varying range of abilities and complexities presented by students across different areas of the curriculum.
  • Offer support to students with medical conditions or physical limitations, ensuring their needs are met and their learning is not compromised.
  • Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is maintained at all times.
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom, adhering to safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Collect and return student work, maintaining accurate records and reporting any safeguarding concerns to the relevant authorities.
Requirements
  • QTS or PGCE Qualification
  • Experience working in a UK secondary school environment, preferably in a special school setting.
  • Previous experience working with children with complex needs, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting students' learning journeys.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop professionally in a collaborative and dynamic educational environment.
  • Initiative and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
