We are offering a competitive salary of £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Capability Lead for the Waste and Environmental teams at Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, you will play a crucial role in leading our organisation's efforts to create a safe and secure world.

This is an exceptional opportunity to utilise your expertise in radioactive waste management and environmental solutions to drive innovation and improvement within the nuclear sector.

  • Develop industry-leading capability in line with Cavendish Nuclear strategy and growth plans.
  • Build and maintain excellent collaborative client relationships.
  • Represent Cavendish Nuclear in relevant professional networks.
  • Lead the development and implementation of capability strategies and plans.
  • Support the career development of waste and environmental specialists.
  • Manage resource supply to meet demand.

This full-time role requires regular travel across internal and customer sites, as well as home working arrangements. We offer flexible working options, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Demonstrable experience in the nuclear sector, with significant radioactive waste management experience.
  • Proven experience in supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Experience in building and managing technical teams.
  • An established network within the radioactive waste sector.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
