About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to join our team at Leeds City Council. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of high-quality, cost-effective, and safe catering services to learners, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and delivery of lunchtime daily menus
  • Work as part of a team to ensure high levels of customer service
  • Undertake high-quality cleaning regimes and adhere to procedures such as health and safety, allergen control, food safety, and stock control and rotation

Requirements

  • Possession of a passion for catering and an interest in creating nutritional and healthy meals
  • Previous catering experience is desirable, and experience of working in education settings would be advantageous
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of our learners and the team
  • Food Safety Level 2 certification or willingness to partake in the required training
