Contract Negotiator

Certain Advantage is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team in Cambridgeshire. This is a 6-month hybrid role that offers a unique opportunity to develop and manage contracts for goods and services, ensuring best value for money.
Key Responsibilities:- Contract Development and Negotiation: Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts for goods and services, ensuring timely negotiation and maintaining high levels of contract assurance.
- Procurement Advice: Provide expert procurement advice to project managers, guiding them through complex solutions and option appraisals, ensuring that services deliver continuous improvement and align with organisational needs.
- Tender Process Management: Manage tender processes in collaboration with our outsourced procurement provider (SBS), ensuring compliance with EU procurement regulations and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs).
- Operational Improvement: Organise Digital and Estates staff to deliver long-term operational improvements, helping the Trust achieve savings targets and enhance efficiency.
- Procurement Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with public sector procurement regulations, Trust policies, and national standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Network with key suppliers, clinical teams, and external stakeholders to identify collaborative opportunities and foster a culture of innovation.
- Contract Management Experience: Extensive experience in contract management, procurement, and negotiation, particularly in a public sector or healthcare setting.
- Procurement Knowledge: In-depth understanding of public procurement regulations, including the organisation's procurement frameworks and EU legislation.
- Financial Acumen: Financial and business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial principles, business planning, and value-for-money assessments.
