Data Platform Engineer Role

We're building a cloud-based payments platform to help global enterprises launch new products and create experiences customers love.

As a member of our Data Platform team, you'll focus on maximising the amount of time business stakeholders spend on solving business problems and minimising time spent on technical details. Our core tech stack includes AWS, Kafka, Flink, Datahub, Snowflake, Airflow, and DBT.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining documentation for data systems and processes
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest data and streaming engineering technologies and trends
  • Building lightweight tooling and associated reference patterns to foster the adoption of the platform
  • Promoting data quality and governance as a first-class citizen of the platform

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background with a track record of implementing and owning components of a data platform
  • Experience with data warehousing tools like Snowflake, Bigquery, or Databricks
  • Experience working with modern cloud-based stacks such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Excellent programming skills with at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or C#

We're building for scale, and what we design and implement today will serve hundreds of teams and petabyte-level volumes of data.
