About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a mainstream school setting. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN.
  • Support students with classroom activities, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure individual learning plans are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
  • Experience supporting SEN children in a mainstream school setting.
  • Confidence in supporting both KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive attitude.
