Maintenance Planner Specialist

A unique position for a skilled Maintenance Planner has emerged at a large-scale production site. As an Optimisation Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in streamlining operations and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Role Purpose
The ideal candidate will take charge of the maintenance planning process, overseeing the execution of scheduled work to guarantee 100% utilisation of available working hours on a weekly basis. This includes providing critical support for upcoming interventions and Technical Assistance Requests (TARs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a six-week maintenance schedule to optimise resource allocation and workflow.
- Review work orders and collaborate with the Technical Team as necessary.
- Conduct field checks when required.
- Identify task parts, tools, activities, and equipment necessary to complete job orders.
- Create comprehensive workpacks detailing tasks, resources, durations, and costs, and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) accordingly.
- Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit Requests.
- Manage the CMMS to track and execute maintenance and engineering work efficiently.
- Liaise with Maintenance, Stores, and Procurement to ensure materials and spares are available for scheduled tasks.
- Plan On-Site and Off-Site maintenance disciplines to maximise efficiency and safety.
- Analyse CMMS metrics to generate reports and provide actionable insights.
- Create planned work for outages and shutdowns as necessary.
- Manage weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborate closely with external support contractors.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate should possess:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in maintenance planning, preferably on a regulated industrial site.
- Previous exposure to an upper-tier COMAH site.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (AX Dynamics preferred).
- Ability to interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and datasheets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and influence stakeholders.
Compensation Package
This position offers a salary range of £43,000 - £50,000, along with benefits including life assurance and income protection benefits, matching pension scheme up to 10%, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical options, and on-site free parking.
