Education Support Professional for SEMH/ASC Provision

We are seeking an Education Support Professional to join our specialist provision supporting students aged 11-19 with SEMH/ASC needs based in Kidderminster.
Role OverviewAs a new Education Support Professional, your role is to support the children with their learning and general wellbeing to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
You will establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils to enable them to feel safe and enjoy their time at the school. You will also promote independence and personal development in pupils, maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher in providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Contribute to the establishment of a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional and academic well-being.
- Support the development of individualised plans to meet the needs of students with SEMH/ASC needs.
- Liaise with parents/carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
- GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
- Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Knowledge or experience of working with students with SEN or SEMH/ASC needs.
- Commitment to the role, treating each student as an individual and putting their needs first.

Estimated Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 per annum (£11.72 - £12.78 per hour)
