Production Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Leader to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving team performance, and ensuring operational efficiency in our fast-paced production environment.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires implementing lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, conducting daily audits, and analyzing performance metrics. You will work closely with previous shifts to ensure effective handovers and collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals. Additionally, you will contribute to resolving production issues using structured problem-solving methods and manage inventory and stock control effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily team briefs to communicate key updates and objectives.
• Collaborate with previous shifts for effective handovers.
• Execute and create production plans to ensure smooth workflow.
• Manage team performance, including attendance, training, and conduct.
• Perform daily audits to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Contribute to resolving production issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D).
• Manage inventory and stock control effectively.
• Maintain and update visual management tools on the shop floor.
• Review, analyze, and act on performance metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Promote Continuous Improvement (CI) and 5S principles within the team.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Participate in recruitment processes, including interviewing potential new hires.
Requirements:
A leadership qualification and at least 2 years of people management experience in a manufacturing environment are essential. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic production setting.
