Salary: A competitive salary of up to £29,000 to £35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits and overtime opportunities.

Job Description: As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for cutting, joining, and shaping metal and other materials using heat and tools. You will read and understand assembly instructions, ensure necessary materials are available, and take precise measurements for perfect alignment of components. You will also operate cutting tools and welders to join metal parts together, read blueprints, and perform quality checks on completed welds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting, joining, and shaping metal and other materials using heat and tools\r
  • Reading and understanding assembly instructions\r
  • Ensuring necessary materials are available\r
  • Taking precise measurements for perfect alignment of components\r
  • Operating cutting tools and welders to join metal parts together\r
  • Reading blueprints, cutting and shaping metal pieces, and performing quality checks on completed welds\r
  • Creating metal structures and products using welding and fabrication techniques\r

Required Skills and Qualifications: Min 3/5 years' experience of Fabrication and Welding. Ability to read engineering drawings and produce cutting lists then fabricate unaided, in Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium. Experience with stainless steel and mild steel Pipe work, including fabrication in the workshop or on site and installing and assembling systems and checking for leaks. CNC Guillotine and CNC Brake Press experience would be an advantage.
